Reach active local customers
Put your business in front of people running, riding, swimming, training and competing nearby.

FOR MERCHANTS
Be connects active people with clubs, activities, events, and the places around them.
For merchants, that means reaching people at moments when they're already out, active and looking for what comes next.
A coffee after a run.
Breakfast after a ride.
Recovery after training.
New kit before race day.
Dinner after an event.
Be part of the active community around you.
Become a Be Merchant
Turn community into customers
Be isn't designed around interrupting people with advertising.
We help users discover businesses that fit naturally around what they're already doing, where they train, the clubs they're part of, the activities they're joining and the events they're attending.
That gives merchants a way to become part of someone's active routine rather than simply another ad in their feed.
Put your business in front of people running, riding, swimming, training and competing nearby.
Create an offer or benefit available to Be users.
Be can suggest relevant merchants around clubs, activities and events, including places to go before or afterwards.
Go beyond individual transactions and become part of the local clubs and communities using Be.

How it works
Create your merchant profile and tell the Be community about your business.
Add your locations, what you offer and any benefits available to Be users.
We’re building Be to connect with supported point-of-sale systems, beginning with Square.
Once the integration is available and connected, your Be offers and transactions can be recognised through the systems your team already uses.
No separate redemption log.
No spreadsheet.
No asking staff to manually report Be customers.
Choose what you'd like to offer Be users.
That might be a discount, complimentary extra, special experience, priority access or another benefit that makes sense for your business.
You decide what works commercially for you.
Every Be user has their own QR code.
When they visit a participating merchant, their QR code identifies them as a Be user and links the visit to the merchant offer.
The aim is to make redemption quick for the customer and easy for staff.
The customer completes their purchase as normal.
Through the POS integration, Be can recognise the eligible transaction and attribute it correctly, without the merchant having to report it separately.
Behind the scenes, Be links the user, merchant and qualifying transaction so that redemptions, commissions and any required reconciliation can be managed automatically.
One QR code. Wherever Be takes you.
Your customers don't need a separate merchant loyalty card.
Their Be QR code travels with them.
The same Be identity can be used across participating merchants, giving users a simple way to access Be benefits while allowing merchants to recognise genuine Be customers.
As Be develops, users will also be able to keep their Be QR code somewhere convenient, including supported mobile wallets.

One identity across participating merchants.

Get discovered around the activity
A major part of Be is helping people discover what's relevant around what they're already doing.
If someone is attending a Saturday morning run, Be might help them find:
Coffee nearby afterwards.
A good place for the group to have breakfast.
A physio or recovery service nearby.
A sports shop relevant to their activity.
Somewhere the club can meet before or after the session.
The same applies to larger events.
If a Be user is attending a marathon, triathlon, HYROX, cycling event or another competition, Be can suggest useful businesses around their event journey, from preparation and equipment through to transport, food, recovery and celebrating afterwards.
The idea is simple:
Help people discover the right business when it's genuinely useful.
Who Be is for
Become the natural home of the post-run coffee, club breakfast or weekend refuel.
Coffee perks · Group offers · Breakfast specials · Healthy food · Club meet-ups
Reach customers when sport and equipment are already front of mind.
Member offers · Shoe fittings · Equipment trials · Club evenings · Event preparation
Connect with people actively investing in keeping themselves moving.
Physiotherapy · Massage · Recovery · Strength & conditioning · Mobility · Nutrition
Introduce Be users to another way to move.
Trial sessions · Classes · Gyms · Studios · Coaching · Cross-training
Become somewhere the activity finishes.
Group bookings · Post-activity offers · Social events · Food and drink packages
Reach people looking for their next challenge.
Events · Races · Experiences · Training camps · Community activations
And we're not limited to these.
If your business is relevant to active people, we'd like to hear from you.
Become part of a club's routine
Be is built around clubs as well as individual users.
That creates opportunities for merchants to develop genuine relationships with local communities.
A café can become a regular start or finish point, and a home for the Club’s Afters.
A retailer can host a club evening.
A recovery business can support members after training or events.
A restaurant or bar can host the club social.
And a merchant can offer practical support to a club, somewhere to meet, leave bags, use facilities or gather afterwards.
A Be partnership doesn't have to begin and end with a discount.
The best partnerships give the club something useful, give the merchant something valuable and give members another reason to show up.
Offer more than a discount
We're not interested in forcing every Be merchant into the same 10%-off template.
Your Be benefit could be:
You create the offer. Be helps the community discover it.
Built around real transactions
Digital advertising usually measures views, clicks and impressions.
Be is being designed around something more useful: real customer activity.
Because the user's Be QR code connects with the merchant and the qualifying transaction, Be can attribute genuine visits and purchases rather than simply reporting that someone viewed a listing.
That creates a clearer relationship between what Be delivers and the value a merchant receives.
It also allows Be to manage merchant commissions based on attributable activity rather than charging simply for visibility.
Designed to work with your existing systems
Our aim is to make Be fit into the merchant's existing checkout process rather than adding another manual task.
We're beginning with Square and intend to expand supported point-of-sale integrations over time.
With an integrated setup:
The customer identifies themselves with Be.
Your POS handles the transaction.
Be receives the information needed to attribute it.
Eligible benefits and commissions can be reconciled automatically.
That means fewer manual processes for the merchant and better measurement for everyone.
Be local
People develop routines around the places where they exercise.
The café beside the meeting point.
The physio everyone recommends.
The shop that understands their sport.
The place the whole group heads afterwards.
Be helps merchants become part of those routines.
And because Be understands activities and events as well as locations, discovery doesn't have to depend on somebody opening a map and searching.
Sometimes the most useful recommendation is simply:
You're going to be here. You might like this nearby.
Frequently asked questions
We're interested in businesses that are genuinely useful to active people and communities, including cafés, restaurants, retailers, health and recovery providers, fitness businesses, accommodation, services and event-related businesses.
Yes. The core merchant benefit is designed to be available to Be users rather than being restricted to members of a particular club.
No.
A Be benefit could be a discount, but it could equally be a complimentary extra, upgrade, special experience, priority access or something unique to your business.
Each user has their own Be QR code.
Participating merchants can use this as part of the redemption process, linking the user to the merchant and qualifying transaction.
No.
That's an important part of the model.
We're building Be around integration with merchant point-of-sale systems, beginning with Square, so qualifying transactions can be attributed without staff maintaining a separate Be log.
Yes.
Relevant merchants can be surfaced around the clubs, activities and events Be users are participating in.
Yes.
We want merchants to be able to tell the Be community when they're suitable for things such as activity meeting points, post-session gatherings, bag storage, facilities or club events.
Because the Be QR code and POS integration allow qualifying transactions to be attributed, Be can provide merchants with a much clearer picture of activity generated through the platform.
We're still finalising our merchant model.
For now, we're focused on working with early merchant partners and making sure the model works for businesses as well as the Be community.
Become an early Be Merchant
We're starting with selected locations and looking for merchants who want to help shape how Be works for local businesses.
If your customers run, ride, swim, train, race, recover, or simply meet for coffee afterwards, we'd like to talk.
